Ah, Willy, is it not fun how a picture/painting/presentation can somehow take over and start telling you what it wants to become as you think you have control. You just revealed a part of your creative process that I also enjoy as the painting starts to speak to me.

I was working on creating a realistic circular ripple with a splash in the center. Then I had to have something to cause the splash

Hi Elizabeth. Don't understand water forms comment. Looks like I miscommunicated something. The almost 3D form is the female. Is that the miscommunication subject?

Not going to vote yet. I like this I think for all the wrong reasons. The female figure is cartoonish. It looks like an avatar. It looks misplaced. It looks contrived. The form and shadows are beautifully done. I like it. There is a blurred separation in the water making the foreground stand out. I like it. The overall background blur makes the form almost 3D. Nice. Just changed my mind. Voted a 5. If I could get this in my landscapes I would die a happy man.
