Barefoot Dancer

by CarlOwen
This painting had so many firsts for me from painting moving and transparent fabric through to balancing a purple and pink color composition to support human flesh tones. I learned a lot from the problems I set for myself in this painting.
Medium: Oil on canvas
Size: 18x24 inches
Price: Not for sale at this time.

Thank you Carl and I wish you all the luck and hope that you are enjoying California and not missing New Mexico too much. I have not painted in the past 1.5 years either except for one piece due to traveling and some stuff I was attending to. Hoping that I can resume soon as I miss it:)

Well good morning Shelina. It has been awhile. Thank you for your comments and your five star vote. I have not painted in a while and it does not look I will be until late this year or even maybe early in 2020. We moved from New Mexico to California and it still remains quite a process.

Was going through your gallery to see if I have missed any of your beautiful paintings and I must say I have quite a few but for now this caught my eye as it is different and so very fluid. I would rathe say a fluid figurative art painted so well:)

Someone rated this painting a two in the People 2019 contest on this site. However, it won first place in the "OCT 2017 Open Challenge-Any Medium" contest on Fan Art Review. I believe the win is the better judgement call. I rather like this painting and have placed it in an ornate gold frame.
