Thinking of going into art. Any suggestions?

I used to love drawing and painting back when I was younger. Ever since I grew up and took hold of some responsibilities like finding a job and taking care of family matters, I no longer had the time to indulge myself in the arts. Every once in a while though, I would have the urge of going into art again. Like this one time, I was watching a foreign documentary about a local artist who remained anonymous but his work of arts are all around the city under everyone’s nose. I want to be like that whenever I have the time. Do you guys have any suggestions with what kind of art I should try myself with?

I would say just try whatever you feel could be fun. And do not be afraid to try new things. People do the funniest things, miniature houses for mice on the street corners,
knitted outdoor art, sculpting or paint a painting. So much to try.

The web is great place to look for inspiration.

its a part of who you are... you can do both, the responsible stuff, and still nurture your creative self. I would say, go for it! Try what you know, what you haven't tried yet.. explore and have fun!!!

Do it because it makes you happy. If you do sell, great, but don't go into it with that expectation. Do check out local art associations and groups for inspirations and classes. Good luck.

As Dooleng says, do it for fun. If your not having fun with it, it's not worth getting into. Just reamember Vincent Van Gogh didn't have any serious sales until after he died. One last thing, make sure you show your work.
