I agree. This is a very nice painting. You are very good at capturing women. Her face is beautiful and peaceful.

all the best,

Well, I guess I'm the only one so far to say, not for me, sorry. The technique suggested is admirable, though difficult to evaluate in such a small picture. The background is exotic and intriguing. I like that.

Now, danger. Do NOT read on without wearing very strong armor.

What I don't like in what I see overrides what I do. I don't see any real conceptual continuity or even real "art." I don't see balance, style, or statement...except as noted later here. I don't even see "good design," except for the background itself.

I don't like the suggestion of a penis erupting between her much too "boob job" teenage male fantasy
easts. In fact, the entire "woman" is too much straight out of a male fantasy version of what a perfect woman should look like. The composition as a whole doesn't spark any significant meaning for me other than those which I find exceedingly repulsive, suggestive in reducing the human female to a pleasure vehicle and a reproductive receptacle.

Well DLKeur thank you for your critique:)
I don't need the strong armor to read it since I Am Ready For The Fury! It's very interesting to know what people think about my art, I respect your opinion. It's very personal, you see things the way you see. I'm just glad that at list my painting evoked such strong feelings, it compliments me:)
Often in my paintings I use females figure as a symbol of beauty and a perfect balance. My paintings are very different, sometimes they evoke feelings in a little aggressive provocative way that expresses my fantasy and passion. I completely understand you and think you are right in some of your aspects, but this is me and I express myself the way I feel, you don't have to like it.
Thanks again for your comments, I appreciate it very much!

Good for you! And I mean that sincerely. As an artist, you must hold to your convinctions and hold self-confidence in all your creations. *applause* ...Not that my opinion of this particular work has changed. (It hasn't.)

I am one who loves color most of all in paintings. However, I find myseft likeing this work. The detail is outstanding. And it is a work which one will stop and look at. And think about. Did you use any color other than black and white? Also, What is the size of the work?
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

Thanks John, I do too love color very much, but the contrast of black and white has something very enigmatic and very powerful. I used only black and white acrylics, the size of the canvas is 18x24x1.5

You definitely have a talent for drawing.
Having said that, I would move the tall pot further down
by her hip area, get rid of the small creamer altogether and
definitely 86 the crazy lattice-work in the back.
Way too much going on! ehoeveler
