1. Setting up several websites for NP orgs whose cause I believe in - pro bono, of course
2. Arguing policy in several publisher orgs I belong to -- about ready to quit one completely it's so off the wall. Editors are impossible to work with when they're deluded by their own false perspectives. When it gets into copyrght and dicey legal grounds, and they want to drive policy to what will be their personal benefit, but the org itself will be the one held libel, there's a problem, in my opinion.
3. Dec through March -- Going through and then over the taxes with the tax lawyer for five corporations.
4. Dealing with copyright infringement and negotiating a settlement for my entitlement.
5. Terminating a TD's author's contract and settling on terms when he violated his contract with me.
6. Terminating my involvement with a private author's organization that refused to abide the rules of intellectual property. Since I own the domain, it's my name at the bottom line. They chose to flagrantly ignore that detail once too often. So, after nine years, end of the line.
7. Helping a close friend with a grandmother's estate issue and senior abuse involving embezzlement and check fraud by her grandchildren.
This was all over and above my regular schedule and work load, so life has been DRUDGERY for me. All work and no fun makes Dawn a very witchy snark.
I'm hoping that, by the end of June, I will have finally pinned Monkey Murphy's tail between its legs and sent it packing
