Acrylic on board " Backwoods Brook"

Postby bergina » Fri Mar 21, 2008 4:01 pm

This is, or should I say, was one of my favorite fishing holes. To get here would take a hard day of hiking, canoeing and a bit of compass work. Unfortunatly, recent logging roads have opened up this once very isolated area and now you can drive your car to within a few Kms. It
eaks my heart, not so much that other people can now access this, but for the garbage, beer bottles and over fishing. This is not good. I completed this painting prior to the destruction and it
ings back fond memories of isolation and big trout.

Well, let me take my shoes off and wave my feet in the water. I take a place on one of those big rocks. A very refresting place indeed. And I,ll just step right into this painting.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

Al
Begin by say this is an astounding painting...
ings back fond memories of my old favorite haunts, many also seriously degraded. I would disagree with a previous comment that we don't know how to value or protect our environment... FACT is that so many just don't give a #@$#!

My two cents worth... BAReam

Bergin...you hid this one from me....lol!! I love this and as usual you prove your wonderful talent. I always love the colors you use as everything blends so well. It is sad that modern times have ruined this private place for you. It is truly a beautiful place!!!
