How do I attach an image of my work to a topic like this?

Ryan, you need to go over to an image posting site. I use POSTIMAGE. It's free. You upload the image to the site and then copy the URL. Then paste what you've copied here. Press preview before you're finished to make sure you've done it correctly. You'll probably mess up a couple of times before you get it right. I did.

Actually, you can just upload it to this topic. All you need to do is go to the full editor when you post or reply. Then scroll down to the bottom, below the submit button. You will see a tab that says "upload attachment". Click that tab and then you will see a section where you can choose a file from your computer to attach. Then click the "Add the file" button. that is it. I have attached images for you to see.
