frst attempt at black and white photography

This is my frst attempt at black and white photography, any suggestions?

This is wonderful, especially for your first b&w. I love the length of the photo. It ads to the interest by shifting everything off center.

I like it. I know zilch about photography, though. In fact, I
eak cameras.

The composition I can find no fault with. It's very "live still life," as if I were an eight year old ghost standing there and seeing through the veil to a memory.

I like the look of black and white photos. And I like the seen in this one. Very clean and simple. Is that a shipyard outside the window?

By the way, are we on a boat at a dock somewhere? The windows look as though they are watertight.

but i see a merry-go-round in the background (right side of photo), and i am guessing this is near a boardwalk???

in this photo i am very curious as to what is OUTSIDE the cafe, and less moved by the still life of the table.

it is almost like the photographer knew this, hence not cropping out the windows and leaving them in as major spaces for the eye to look deep into for obscure details...

Oh, I definitely think the view out the windows is what the draw is. The rest is as if standing there, waiting to sit down with parental units, but wanting to go explore outside. Hence my "ghost child's view." This piece is so eerie, it's
illiant. But, like I said earlier, I know NUTTIN' about photography.
