Hello. I'm 15 years old and I have a school art competition coming up. I would appreciate if you would critique my work and let me know if I should change anything.

Cannot see a picture.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

It is rather small. Do you have a larger image of this or can you take one?

best regards,

Very good work. The only issue I can see is the left eye of the dog is not in the center. Maybe a little more contrast.

This is pretty good. I have a few comments. I would like you to have continued the neck of the dog, not cut it off at the bottom so a
uptly. Same goes with the top of his ears (unless of course the photo was cut off). I also think that you could have spent a bit more time with the detail of the mouth. Finally, fine tune the contrast with a bit of dark where the shadows are to
ing out the contour a bit more, but don't overdo it and make it too dark.

I think you are off to a great start. Keep it up.

To me, the cropping is a biggie, and it may not be fixable now. I think you need t darken it more around and below the nose. I like the hair, you did a great job there. Nice work, I hope that the crop at the top is just the photo. Erika

Hi.It looks like one of my dogs I had when I was 15.I agree with the others but don't overwork it.The work is way above average so you would be wise to choose a profession that allows you to use your gift.My wife is a world class multimedia artist but works in an office.I'm working hard to change that and making some progress.Hope you do well in the contest. Mahon, you are talented, so listen to what everyone has written so you
can go on to bigger and better works. Your dog is adorable and the only other thing that I would add to the feedback is that his nose looks a little
small for a German Shepherds'. Also, you should center the indentation in his tongue. Sometimes you have to look and look again, even if you've seen that lovely beast for years.
Blade, is your dog a Rat Terrier? My dog Daisy is a Rattie and she looks like yours except she's black and white. We give her what we call a "Toophy Kiss" - that's when she's lying down and leaving her teeth exposed. We kiss her right on the teeth and she lets us! So cute!
