Like the color and action of the work. Also like the large size. Perhaps I see a ghost or two.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

I like the color and contrast. I think it would be a more effective painting if some of the
ushstrokes were a bit cleaner. Overall, nice job.

best regards,
Joe

I've always liked split canvases, however this piece looks unfinished to me. Work a bit more on detail, and you will have another very nice work. I know you like your
ight yellows, but in this case a little toning down wouldn't hurt.

Ericka,
Thanx for the comment, yes it is a piece of incomplete work. I will touch up a bit more and adjust it a little and post a complete one soon.

cheers,
Parry

Hey Parry, I'm Elizabeth, nice to meet you!
I agree about toning down the yellow and maybe making those
clouds a little whiter in some spots. keep up the good work. E

Hi there. I new around here, but this place seems laid back enough that my presence at this forum doesn’t need to be great enough for me to add my two cents. (I posted in the newbie thread – I dunno about protocol w/ regards to critique posts vs. # of showing posts, I may be backwards b/c I haven’t posted any of my work here yet.)

I disagree with the yellow comments above. I like the yellow as it is. It is a wonderful contrast to the blue on the third canvas. This very contrast echoes the obvious contrast between land and sea. There is just enough variation in that space of yellow to keep it from looking too “blankâ€
