As a fan of black paper and white charcoal myself, I am so impressed with this picture. I find drawing the light on black paper instead of shadows on white to be so much easier for me. Great work, put up some more. :D

Impressive! I liek the details of it, and the hatch looking technique to the face. Awesome work on details! It's a very realistic peace!

I am very partial to drawings, and this one is very good :D I do alot of charcoal but have never tried white on black paper, could be fun, and definately looks interesting.

Keep up the good work !!!!

Hi yag411 .... Very nice drawing and a very interesting technique. I tend to refrain from self-portraiture as I always appear to be POed. While at the University Northern Iowa met and artist who covered various papers with charcoal and created the image with an eraser (ultra beautiful effect). He asked me to critique his work for publication in the university cataloque. I think I still have still have his images on file if you might be interested in seeing them. One of his works was titled "Death of the Minotaur" {you would love it}
If you like will go back to my archives. May still have the original critique and photos. Or may find his work on the web. Unfortunately his name escapes me. Duh :cry:

Keep up the good work... BAReam
