Trying something new with colour

Hi!

I work mainly in realism and thought I would try 'pushing' the colour in this latest piece, also it's the first time I composed in a square format. This piece is mainly watercolour with some pencil crayon—so, mixed media I guess. ANY and ALL feedback/criticism is much appreciated. Thanks!

Love the color and composition. Very good depth. i would like to see you push yourself with the fine details, especially around the front paw, ears, mouth, and fine hairs. This looks really good. Some fine tuning would make it a standout.

Thank you... really good feedback. Looking at it now online it seems I lost some of the depth between the ears where the top of his head goes back as well. The fur gets lighter there but I'm not sure how to push that back. Maybe cooling the white there a little... hmmm.
