The model for the hands was my own father and yes since he is human those hands would not be "Gods" hands, but if they were we would not even be able to look on them because the Glory of the Lord is so intense it kills. Don't mind my indifference please, I've never believed personally in p...

I disagree...I think the nude is beautiful, maybe the idea is dali-esque but the stylization and painting of the color and subject are very very different. I think many people would place this on their wall as is...the detail need not be exact, only unique...

New one! Forest Stream

I'm ready for the art show...this doesn't have as much detail as I want, but it needs to go to the show, so if it doesn't sell I'll resume work on it when I get back...Off to Florida tomorrow....for anybody living in Daytona or New Smyrna Beach, come check out the Images Arts Festival and come find ...

another new one (portrait of Diana)

Diana finished...I wish I had a better camera! It's so gorgeous in real life...lucky for me the model was already beautiful so I just tried to make look like her as best I could. Her name is Diana, and I decided to title it as such since she looks like the goddess to begin with

Joe, its very obvious in real life that its relating to God somehow, because the scars are visible on the outstretched hands, on the wrists...1 it's God the creator of all things (the potter), the original artist...2 God the redeemer, the savior, the hands of christ, God in mortal flesh, and the thi...

New Series of Paintings

3 paintings for the new show, they illustrate how I see the hand of god in my mind. I tend to do isolated work, no back ground distraction...pictures are kind of blah but they look amazing in real life especially all side by side :)

the color flow

New painting, working on doing things from my head and less from photos. The result is not very realistic, but I think it's striking :) Somehow though, the photos I take of my work are always off, in perspective somehow, so this was the best one I had of this new one. Keep cranking them out for the ...

New Painting in progress

It's based on a photo I posted earlier, and I'm so excited! These photos don't do the skin justice, it's just beautiful, and I don't know how it's happening but it's coming together apart from my inexperience. :) The leaves aren't even close to being done...so just keep comments to the face and back...

you need to read about perspective...it will take this and other paintings to a 3 dimensional level on a 2 dimensional surface...perspective is not hard to learn, all the detail and color in the world will not kick your work up a notch until you can show perspective properly

His left hand. If it falls below the table on his right side...a bit of shadow on the side and on top will give it a better depth....looks like an easy fix and that should balance the picture more....just my suggestion :)

New Photographs

My sister and I run small photography business and one of the neat things about being independent is our ability to do some unique stuff. These are a few of the latest round (I did hair and makeup, ya know creative director like). The client was verrrry happy and so are we. Let me know if you like t...

very well done indeed. In the future, pay attention to your horizontal proportions. The faces seem just a bit too long...the detail is beautiful

Water

In regards to the reflections, the water there in Venice was very murky, so there actually weren't any reflections of real value to paint except the sky...the picture is too grainy, there is much more detail than actually shows in this picture and thats my fault
