Re: dreams

Very beautiful those colors are very bright and vibrant. I love playing around with the colors to see how bright I can get them, but there is only so much you can do with acrylics. I am working on a blue orb with a black background which turned out really bright, but I'm stuck with what I can put i...

Re: dreams

Linseed will help paint to stay looking wet, but it doesn't enhance the colors...I'm going to play around to see if I can get this sort of effect. About your piece, now I'm confused...I thought she was looking to the distance in right. here is a zoom in, actually its like it is backwards and at the...

Re: dreams

Very cool! It looks like it is black light paint. How did you get it so vibrant? I seek to have over-saturated colors, have you seen "Rainbow Crack"? I wish that painting was more like this! I feel like I can make out a feminine fairy presence, am I making that up? or was it intentional? ...

Re: tree

Does what you changed fixed the problem you had at first? I think it does. Good good. IDK if I see what you see...I'm pretty far out there...I can make out an iguana, a vagina, or a DMT light being emerging...What do you see? jajajaja i think i found the vagina, but not the iguana, but what i reall...

Re: .001% Club

Re: tree

I think don't think the background is the problem. In fact it is lovely. Making the background less busy would certainly help the busyness of the shimmering tree stand out, but there are other ways. In my opinion adding contrast would dramatically help. Even if you don't do it for the whole backgro...

Re: City sea.

OK I see it now. Let me relate a problem I'm having and see if you can apply this; My GF came home last night and looked at my most recent painting and said "what is that? It looks like a guy with oven-mitts on using a mop." then she said, "what is it supposed to be?" I told her...

One question though, what is that "cord" coming from the leg of the clown?

Re: clown

Nice! The latest one is the best! You nailed the swirl. Do you have any more plans for additions? What percent complete do think this is 90-95%? well its not finished yet, but im closer now, i would say like its at a 90%. Since the last picture i added another layer of paint, using linseed oil as a...

Re: clown

I liked the first rendition much better. The emphasis in more saturated colors helped to create balance and the complementary colors helped push the eye around the center, drawing the viewer to the focal point. The problem with darkening the background is that it makes the whole piece sit on the sa...

Re: City sea.

Honestly even with it zoomed in the siren is very hard to make out. I thought the violet was the lower body, and the green was a tail? but that wouldn't make sense cuz the tail should be below the violet? I'm even more confused now. The yellow is the hair? I think I can make it out but the face is ...
