Re: Portriat

Thank you! His head was actually supposed to be tilted some, and his eye is tilted like that in the reference picture I used, but I agree it looks weird since I couldn't get the head tilt correct. I ended up fixing it a little bit before I put him in the frame so it looks a little better, and his ey...

Portriat

I'm reposting this since no one gave me feedback the last time I put it up. This is a portrait of Ian Somerhalder that I finally finished after starting it last summer, and after taking a long break from drawing. Please give me some good feedback and critiques. http://i60.tinypic.com/cub5y.jpg

Re: first drawing of person in charcoal

Wow! this is really good! I've never been one to use charcoal very much. The facial features look good, but the nose is just a tad bit too wide. I would just be more careful when it comes to the shadows and their placement. other than that, it is awesome!

Dave Franco

http://i42.tinypic.com/2v2jsqb.jpg This is a sketch I did for my art class as part of our semester-long sketchbook project. I know the eyes look odd, but I swear they don't look as weird when you look at the actual sketch. Please let me know how to improve anything, and what would be the best way t...

This was just something I took in Alabama. I'm trying to work on close up shots of things. Alabama brought the rain... so in my spare time I thought I would take pictures of water drops

This is the referece I used. When I printed it out, the shading got somewhat darker, but I think I over did it.

Re: Logan Lerman: graphite

Thank you! I should make his hand higher. The image I used as a reference was a lot smaller than the finished sketch. The reference was maybe 4 X 6, and my sketchbook is 11 X 14. I actually used a grid to help me with the line art, but I couldn't find a ruler ro make the squares, so the proportions ...

Logan Lerman: graphite

Image

The sketch is too big for my scanner. This was really just a spur of the moment project, but I still had fun doing it. *Part of the shine on the bottom middle(the dark shaded area in his hand) is due to the overhead light.
