Re: Wizard 3 has many websites

The new websites are about to emerge. They will be confusing to many who are enslaved to concepts of what a website should be. HTML itself is patterned to emulate print formats. That hamstrings what the web will someday evolve to. Those of us who are TRUE ARTIST are not enslaved. Our websites will u...

Re: New Season of the Weir

The WEIR is not so tame it is contained in my garden. It wanders and breeds with the river and the community. It changes the view of an area known for its intrenched views. This is just one of the many SPAWN. It is known as MINNER. It is shown here attached to a replacement bicycle while the intende...

Re: New Season of the Weir

I do have many birds come inside the studio to visit. As one can see they are very comfortable inside as well as outside in WEIR GROTTO.

Re: New Season of the Weir

This is one of the pools high in the trees that falls to one lower and so on until finally it reaches one in the crotch of seven elms grown together into one trunk. That one is home to tree frog tadpoles and falls into a pool of bass and perch. http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q495/riverwizard/sk...

Re: New Season of the Weir

What a lovely place to just lose yourself in and let your mind wander. I bet it is a fantastically relaxing grotto in both action of setting it up and for the sake of immersion in your own created setting. Thanks for Sharing. For me, the nearby river is my escape, but one of my partners owns a ther...

Re: New Season of the Weir

Will send more soon. Got a major move forward that will keep me very busy. Mastering (maybe) Away3D to insert content into Flash interactive panoramas and move camera view from center for a walkabout effect.

Re: New Season of the Weir

I should add there are many living creatures involved in this work. Most are very comfortable with some of us humans. Many of the exotic lizards and birds will perch in hand. The squirrels and raccoons will eat from hand. One catfish and many of the perch will. The flora and fauna are props and acto...

Re: New Season of the Weir

Oh, but it is overwhelming. You are seeing only one small pool. There are many. The pools are in the ground and in the trees. The environmental sculpture goes to a depth of about four feet deep below ground level and about twenty feet high, not including trees, so far... and still being sculpted upw...

New Season of the Weir

It is a new season for the WEIR GROTTO. As it takes its form a community will be forced into a new form. Critique what you wish. Such things have nothing to do with art. It concerns only dining centerpieces at best. Real art is an act of aggression aimed at changing everything. It succeeds or fails ...

Re: A fascinating technology to display your art online...

I am very sorry! I mislead in the post that mentions Redhat. That should read, Red Giant, of course. They put out the finest plugs for After Effects.

Re: A fascinating technology to display your art online...

About that learning curve: I am far enough along to know my solution works. I call it "Tutpedia". It is very simple and can be implemented in Adobe Bridge or with something like SQL (free). In Bridge one can assign 'keywords' to images or videos. There are countless video tutorials availab...

Re: Finding the right medium

I am going to leave these boards now... with just one more point you most will not get. You are seeing art a certain way locking you out of what art is. I did abide by your rule and remove that image but it was posted to make you all think... Think... THINK. Art is NOT creating anything. That is a l...

Re: underneath

You need to offer more information. What medium is it? What do you hope to convey? What is the actual size. I have done work that is historic that I cannot stand. It embarrasses me to mention some of it. Looks fine where it is, but I sure would not want some of what I have done anywhere in my vicini...

Re: Self Portrait

Oh, there is much more coming... but I must admit my "physical" glory is fading. What is missing in this illustration is the wizard hat I am noted for in this region. It is as respected as that of any conservation officer. I am an ombudsman for this section of my river: http://i1160.photob...

Re: Finding the right medium

I love to get dirty in mediums. I do so now in river mud and muck. I sculpt from what I find on the Neosho River and its tributaries. That includes everything from gemstones to driftwood. It even includes the skulls and bones of monstrously huge fish. One should never choose a medium anymore. Use th...
