About Me: Art was with me from the start - it was my only friend. After school I studied commercial art. Because I was regarded as a hybrid (a European born in Australia), I joined the military to establish my nationality and a trade. Soon art was replaced by booze and drugs (a bad choice of friends). On deaths bed I surrendered to recovery. Lost everything in a house fire. Became a hermit. Got a degree in counselling and worked in that field for over twenty years. Took up cycling to lose weight and ended up as a competitive cyclist.

My art is a bitter-sweet experience for me. It is bitter due to my past (I used art to escape from home tyranny), and it is sweet due to my love for creativity. As a result, a piece of artwork emerged every few years. Now that I am semi-retired and live as a hermit, I have no more 'lack of time' excuses to do art. I now plan to do art as a means of therapy and awakening my spirit.
