SlowArt Productions presents the group thematic exhibition, Art Biologic. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery from May 2 – 30, 2009. This exhibition is open to all interpretations of the concept, Art Biologic. Included are all art forms relating to or gaining inspiration from the biological world. Landscape, flowers, vegetables, fruits and animals are all included. Figurative artwork of human beings is prohibited. All artist interpretations of these biological elements from the realist to the abstract and conceptual will be reviewed and considered.

Eligibility: Art Biologic is open to all artists, national and international, working in any media. Maximum height for is 96 inches, maximum width is 144 inches. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Image Presentation: Artwork submitted may be represented either by 35mm slides, prints up to 8.5" x 11" in size, or digital image files. Prints may be any format, photographic, laser, ink jet are all acceptable. Each slide or print must numbered and labeled with artists name, title of work, media, and dimensions of work. List the same information on the entry form image list. Digital image files may be submitted on PC platform CD, DVD or 100mb Zip disc, TIF or JPG format are acceptable. No files larger than 15MB please. Include a reference sheet with prints representing the images on the disc. Next to each print write the artist, title, media, dimensions and file name. Award: One artist from Art Biologic will be featured with a two page display in the upcoming Direct Art Volume #16, Fall 2009 issue. Two artists will be awarded a single page display. Direct Art is distributed to bookstores across the USA including Borders and Barnes and Noble.

Deadline: The Final postmarked deadline is February 28, 2009. Entries must be postmarked by this date.
