Wide Open 5 - Call for Entries | Monday, March 10, 2014

We are excited to announce our fifth annual national juried art show, Wide Open 5, opening April 26, 2014. The juror will be Paulina Pobocha, the Assistant Curator of Painting and Sculpture at New York’s Museum of Modern Art. $3000 in cash prizes in 14 categories will be awarded including $1000 Best in Show Gold. The exhibit is in a massive Civil War-era warehouse on the Brooklyn waterfront that enables us to show large work, and we welcome it. This call for submissions is open to all U.S. residents 18 years of age or older.

Earthly Possessions - Call for Entries | Monday, March 17, 2014

Everyday we surround ourselves with various objects whether they are essential or frivolous. We as humans have the desire to consume, create and collect. For this call we want to see your artistic take on these everyday objects. Take the ordinary and make it extraordinary.

All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered in this call for submissions, from photography, wall sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc. Work must be able to be hung on a wall to be considered for the live exhibition, however 3D artworks will only be displayed online. Sizes up to 12 feet are acceptable. We are now accepting video and poetry entries for both live and online shows.

Accepted entries for this online exhibition will be judged again in the coming months for a collective live exhibition at our Los Angeles gallery in summer 2014. 3rd Annual "All Women" Online Art Competition | Thursday, March 27, 2014

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 3rd Annual “All Women” Juried Art Competition for the month of March 2014. The gallery urges all 2D Women Artists to submit their best art for inclusion into the gallery’s April 2014 online group exhibition. The gallery would like to be able to exhibit only the best art that is submitted by women artists only. Women can submit any 2D media (Including photography) in any style and about any subject matter for this competition.

John Michael Kohler Arts Center Arts/Industry Program | Tuesday, April 1, 2014
 

Artists working in any discipline may apply for the Arts Center’s Arts/Industry 2015 program, which takes place at and is funded by Kohler Co. in Kohler, Wis. Each year, 16-22 artists are accepted for 2- to 6-month residencies in the Pottery or Foundry/Enamel areas of the factory. Artists-in-residence receive 24-hour access to studio space, materials, use of equipment, technical assistance, photographic services, housing, and round-trip transportation. The exhibition is open to all photographers world wide, both amateur and professional. The Center invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate in its exhibitions. Photography, perhaps more than any other medium, seems inextricably linked to an increasingly complex modern world constantly unfolding in new and unexpected ways. Its ability to capture our cultural changes, the environments we inhabit, and the thoughts we keep play a vital role in giving us greater insights into our world and ourselves.
