In Full Bloom - Call for Entries | Wednesday, June 10
  The Smithtown Township Arts Council is now accepting entries for In Full Bloom, July 18- Aug. 14, 2009. Seeking original artwork (realistic or representational) in any two-dimensional medium that reflects the beauty and uniqueness of flowers, such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, botanical illustration, colored pencil or pastel. (Sorry, no photography or computer generated art). Juror: Botanical artist Rose Pellicano’s whose work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. and Japan, and has been included in numerous prestigious exhibitions at the Horticultural Society of New York, the Bruce Museum, the U.S. Botanic Garden, and Chicago Botanic Garden, among others. Entry Deadline is June 10, 2009, and must be submitted as 300 ppi jpeg files on CD only.

24th Annual Conservatory Art Classic Juried Art Show | Saturday, June 13
The Bosque Conservatory Art Council announces a Call for Entries for its National Juried Art Show. Monetary awards total $14,500, including a $5,000 purchase award. $15.00 per entry. Online, CD, or slide entries accepted. Slides will be scanned and entered through the online entry system. Artists 18+ are eligible. Exhibition dates September 12-27. Call for Entries: 109th Philadelphia Water Color Society International Exhibition of Works on Paper | Monday, June 22
Include pastel, water media, drawings, original hand pulled prints. Show dates: October 3 - December 18, 2009 - Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pa. 2 entries: $15 for members $45 for nonmembers. 11th Annual Collage, Digital & Mixed Media Juried Online International Art Exhibition | Sunday, June 24
The Upstream People Gallery presents an exhibition with 12 month's gallery representation, from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010, with approximately 900,000 hits each month. Open to all artists worldwide. Original works about the landscape in collage, digital and all mixed media. All artworks including alternative media, paintings, sculpture, prints, drawing, photographs, papier colle, assemblage, installation, digital manipulation, ceramics, fiber and other.

Cash Awards of Excellence and Special Recognitions will be given at the juror's discretion; the amounts and number of which is determined by the entries and their quality. Specially recognized artists will be reviewed in the juror's statement published worldwide and sent in a press release to the artist's local newspaper(s).

Call For Artists - Pacific Coast Region | Tuesday, June 30
This competiton is open to all artists in the following states: CA, OR, WA, AK, HI (other areas, view website below). Open Studios Competitions are conducted annually in each of 6 regions of the country. Competitions lead to publication in our bimonthly New American Paintings which, juried by curators from prominent museums, has extended the reach of artists and expanded the resources of collectors since 1993. All styles: painting, drawing, monoprints/types, mixed media; 2-D only.

Art House Call for Entries - A Million Little Pictures: Documentary | Wednesday, July 1
1,000 artists documenting 1,000 lives from around the world.

Art House is looking for 1,000 people from around the world to receive 1000 disposable cameras. We'll mail the camera to you to document your life in 24 exposures and then you simply send us back the prints. Not only will we have the exhibition here in Atlanta, we will also travel to the city with the most participants. Soooooo, tell your friends, mom, sister, cousin, or whoever to sign up. The exhibition will be home to 24,000 photographs of 1,000 peoples lives all over the world.

Arte Latino - Call for Entries | Monday, July 20
  The Smithtown Township Arts Council is now accepting entries for Arte Latino, an exhibition in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month August 22–Sept 23, 2009 at the Mills Pond House Gallery. The exhibition seeks to explore the unique cultural and artistic narratives that define being Latino in America. Open to all media that expresses the experience of being Latino in the United States or that communicates the history of their journeys or their culture that connects them with their Latin heritage. Zeitgeist 09 United Creators International Exhibit - Call for Entries | Saturday, July 25
Broadcasting art globally, promoting extensively, United Creators creates the most innovative and comprehensive competition in the Art World today. United Creators dedicates itself to providing the most extensive visibility to most competition entrants. The United Creators competition is open to anyone 18 years of age or older, from any country. Contestants will be judged against other contestants in each category.

Every week 12 artists will be chosen (two from each category: Painting, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Photography, Drawing, and Video Art) to be digitally broadcasted and showcased during one week at exclusive and high profile showrooms of our partner: Bang & Olufsen in New York (USA), Istanbul (Turkey) and Frankfurt (Germany).

Winning artists chosen by prominent judges will receive One-month digital exhibitions at three international cities with the top winning video artist to be presented in November as part of [PAM] installation at The State Hermitage Museum during the Cyland Cyber Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Studio Visit - Spring 2010 Edition - Call for Entries | Friday, July 31
All Regions, All Mediums. Studio Visit, now introducing its fifth competition, is a nationally focused publication that presents all two- and three-dimensional work. Each volume includes approx. 150 artists. Each selected artist will be provided with one full page that will include a full color image, contact information and a brief artist statement. The publication is juried by a professional curator and produced to the highest quality standards and can be used as a valuable promotional tool. Juror: Steven Zevitas, Publisher, New American Paintings.

Once published, Studio Visit is mailed to 2,000 of the nation's top galleries and curators and a growing subscriber base. Additionally, participating artists will receive a complimentary issue of the publication, and they will be able to purchase additional copies at a discount to send to galleries, collectors, friends and family.

The Richeson 75 International Landscape, Seascape & Architectural Art Competition | Wednesday, August 12
RichRicheson School of Art & Gallery, a division of Jack Richeson & Co., Inc., is proud to announce the Richeson 75 Landscape, Seascape & Architectural Competition. Seventy-five two-dimensional works of art and several alternates will be selected to represent the finest examples of painting and drawing being produced by today’s visual artists. The following prizes will be awarded:

Best In Show - $3,000. First Place in each category will receive a $1000 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. Second Place Award in each category will receive a $500 certificate for art materials from Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. 75 Finalists and a number of
