Thank you so much for your comments. I agree that it is a strong composition and the way you describe the movement throughout is very accurate. However, this was unintentional! Very often I use the rule of thirds to map
out my paintings and feel that a strong composition is probably the single most important element. Thanks again!

Good job, nice reflections, believable ripples, and well proportioned and well painted figure. The little canal takes your eye to the top of the painting, the girl's head brings you back down, the legs carry you into the reflection, the reflection takes you into the ripples and back up the canal, so there is nice movement throughout.
