Volvox

Commissioned by a scientist who specializes in the study of this particular variety of green algae, Volvox. It was my first painting from a microscopic viewpoint. Within the swirling spheres daughter colonies are growing...spheres within spheres! Quite a challenge, but fascinating too.

Almost thought this was digital.. to see it was straight fomr ypour bruchstrokes ... Fantastic redition... Love it
