Inner Conservation

by tzink
Inner Conservation was created to memorialize the history and investigations of Cleveland's inner city. I created an 8' structure out of borrowed bricks from seven dilapidated buildings in the city. A brick from each location was made into sand cast glass with metal inclusions from the buildings. These glass bricks were layered with each locations found bricks. The floor was built with concrete tiles. Seven self-published books were created to display the process prior to the installation.
Medium: Found bricks, concrete, sand cast glass, metal, self- published books
Size: 8'x5'x5'
Price: N/A
