Artemis was a Greek Goddess, protector of forest fauna and flora, Her totem animal was a silver stag, the moon was her symbol. Artemis was a protector of women and children and she was also known by the Romans, as the virgin huntress, Diana.

Everything is PERFECT in this painting. The quiet solitude of the huntress is captured as she gazes at the stag, her vibrant coloring and the subtle near-framing add such interest to this lovely piece. I LOVE the shading and curves in the body. :lol:

Seen Right???? Errr ...when was the last time you entered a mythical forest and caught a glimplse of Artemis? She's a Goddess you know, ordinary shading and conture don't apply to Goddesses.

nice detail but shading ond conture just doesn't seen right
