Hi Carl, I had to vote on this one. The way the yellow and blue reach brilliant hue and intensity in small areas, really makes this piece shine. Those saturated colors, used in restraint, combined with the desaturated colors throughout, are perfect. The muted ocean recedes nicely. Also, there is that almost abstract quality which seals the deal!

It was a particularly stormy and moody day when I looked out of my studio window at the Jimenez mountains when this idea struck me. Of course, I just had to give it a try.
