Thank you jolantehesse (?). I am often intrigued by viewers impressions. Viewers either hate or love this one. There are very few inbetweeners. And, thank you for the vote. P.S. If you enlarge it in this site, then right click it you can save the picture into your pictures folder. Open it and you can magnify it the windows photo viewer to see the brush strokes, etc. I hope you enjoy.

Thank you Elizabeth. This was painting 5 that I upload. Did the uploading sometime around 3:30 a.m. The uploading just would not accept any entries of either numbers or letters in any of the description panels. So, I Used the comment box to identify this painting. I put this painting in a pecan wood faced with hickory perimeter frame I made for it. It is quite dramatic in person.

Carl!!!!!! Even though the photo doesn't show finer details (I'm guessing due to the very subtle color changes) I know this painting is Marvelous. I noticed you were able to add pertinent info to your Aspen series - what glitch did you encounter? Thank You, E

Somehow the entry process did not let me do the medium, size, price or description. So I will do it here. This is an 18 by 24 inch oil on canvas painting titled 'Summer Midnight Willow'. I wanted to push the limits of making a single color, green in this case, to describe a form through the combination of subtle color changes and how directionality of the paint application could sculpt shapes. This abstract painting is of a willow on a field of grass in the mountains.
