Beneath the Belljar

The woman in this work is an automaton; she wears a clock on her heart, indicating the perception of time. The large eyeball stares intently out at the viewer and simultaneously the woman faces away from the viewer -- looking out, lost her own world. Above her head hovers a red shape with wings made of hands, a reminder of the pain and suffering lingering.
