Man, I'm telling Ya

Postby johnwalkeasy » Fri Jan 18, 2013 7:06 pm

Been talking to this dentist about making a piece of artwork for his courtyard in exchange for some dental work. Really did,nt care to much for that anyway. But went along with it.
Well he started talking about making drawings and and silly stuff like that.
And I thought to myseft.
Man you gotta be nuts. I'm an artist. Not some handy man building a shed in the back yard.
If somthing like that is what you want. Draw your own dam pictures and take em to some metal shop. That,s not who I am. Or what I do.
I guess only artist can ever understand artist.
Well, This guy is history. I,m going to deal with a new dentist. And this one wont know a thing about me. If they ask. I'll say I'm a Cab Driver or somthing. Maybe a part time Zombie.
Just tell me what it cost. And I'll let Monti Hall play let's make a deal.
Perfection is what drives an artist.
The inability to achieve perfection is what creates a work of art.

C'mon, John - work with the dude. His dad was
probably an engineer, or something.
Art is like acting - never turn down a gig.

sounds interesting to me. the only thing my dentist does is say hello, talk some crazy dentistry code to her assistant, tell me off for my tea/coffee/alcohol intake, then say see you in 6 months. she should talk to me about art, i wouldn't mind trading some art for dental work, could do with my teeth being whitened.
