Lucy Boo - Any feedback would be great

This is a forum where you can post your art work and ask what the world thinks. I am looking for general feedback, nothing too technical. A push in the right direction would be appreciated.

Jenny,

Your portrait is charming. Lucy Boo looks like a sweetheart. Possibly a colored background would be an enhancement, maybe a red to echo the color in Lucy's kerchief. I love animal art, and have enjoyed seeing yours.

Hi Joe,

The medium is watercolour. I was formally trained as a sculptor, at the Canberra School of Art, but have found much joy recently in producing works on paper. This watercolour is A4 in size - I feel that it is nearly finished but I never quite know when I should stop and I need to learn how to push myself to complete a work. I keep thinking about a psychadelic spiral in the background, but I'm not sure.

Cheers
