Charcoal Work

Hi all. I have been working this piece and would like some criticism. I know the right side looks strange like it is shooting up but I don't know how to correct with the charcoal layed in so dark. Any recommendations would be awesome. This is only my second charcoal drawing so I am trying to get used to it, but I am really liking charcoal!!

Veery nice. Very good detail. Very good shading. It appears that your artistic side has been waiting to escape from you fro alot of years and then when it did it exploded on to this canvas. Good job.

Very nice work, especially for a newbie to charcoal. I love charcoal too. Perhaps if you take your hand and place it to block out the far right side, from the reflection to the edge, you can see that the distortion comes from the darkness and the fact that your fence line goes wider at the edge. It would not do that naturally. Distance makes fences shrink not grow. Drop the fence at the edge a bit, make the water a couple of shades lighter, and make the fence the same or slightly narrower. Perhaps this will help your optical illusion. I hope this helps.
