Weaner Pods strikes my fancy - I like the interesting brush work
and how you've treated the 'weaners'.
Number one has a nice freaky circus appeal but with that I love to see more colors pop.
Thank You, E

It had pop at times while I was creating it. Eventually the yellow and white lines dulled it down. I might have to build up a a certain amount of ambition to pop it out again. Here's one pick right before the final stages. Had some pop, but even before that it had a ton more. Well, more.

You are good in my book but I am not getting the message
Anything in any way beautiful derives its beauty from itself and asks nothing beyond itself.
Praise is no part of it, for nothing is made worse or better by praise.

Thanks E. endless, I read this while I was in college say 7-8 years ago. At the time, I knew I liked what I read but couldn't firmly grasp it altogether. It's Henri Matisse, "Notes of a Painter". It's a solid read and probably explains best what I'm trying to accomplish. I like the idea of a nice comfortable armchair, but I can't seem to consciously or subconsciously have my art devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter. Whether i choose to be or not, I'm too much in the thick of it and to refuse it would be denial. My paintings would be fake.

Clearly, I still haven't grasped it in it's entirety, but it is Matisse. Give me a few decades alright! The Night Stalker Painting was an attempt to bring back my pop imagery and try to gel it with my current style. I'll probably paint over it.

The night stalker speaking of pop has a nice pop art feel to it. Of course I'm into that sort of thing. like it
I really like the two "Henredon Weaner Pods" pieces. They have some nice imagery in them.
I love the flat color in both of them. It makes them easy to look at.
Just out of curiosity what medium did you use.

Thanks E and Eddie for your input.
I use acrylic and white charcoal pencil. Only thing I can use to create that chalkboard effect. But I wouldn't recommend it just because it's messy and if you want to use a fixative....well, that can be messier.

I paint over my work a lot so I don't bother with any fixative. Hairspray only works the first few times you use it after that the damn nozzle/tip gets clogged and it starts spraying uneven and leaves shinny dots on your work.

The night stalker makes a good poster -I think thats what made me wet my self.

Good artsworks and nice colour. Personally, I don't like to see words in an artwork to explain what it is about. To me the artwork should do that.

I like the unique pop-culture aspect to them... mixed with a sketchy texture... great color and layout on all... for sure..
but I agree with most of the comments mentioned before, I like the style and the subject is intriging. :)
