'critical error' comes up when I upload something

Hi,
I'm new to the website, like I signed up yesterday, and when I fill in the form and try to upload something *critical error comes up in big red writing. What do I do?
Up the top it says 2048 x 1536-393KB so obviously the file size is 393KB and its a photo (Like not of a painting) I am entering a photo.

Please help, I really want to enter this competition and can't,
