Dreaming of Equanimity

This a multi-medium book-promo peice I completed this month, (12/2011) titled 'Dreaming of Equanimity'.

Girl and kaleidoscope are Handdrawn, scanned and colored Digitally and the Background is Photography (Fort Bragg).

it was an interesting one, as it was a Book not yet in distribution at the time I was commissioned for it, and the Author & team provided minimal info on the character... :: sigh ::

If you could separate the girl from the mandala-energy-portal, I'd slide it to the right a little bit.
The implications of the perfection in the sacred geometry becomes less important since the relationship between the figure and the "orb" are a little off.
See what I mean?
I think the little tiny yellow piece behind her head looks awkward.
Same goes for the placement of the yellow meeting the sunset. It washes it out thereby not creating as much emphasize as say it being higher in the sky which would contrast against the blue more.
It's a buetiful piece. Don't mean to sound harsh, just trying to help.
