Mayumi, I am now your avid fan. This is fantastic and as wonderful as your mayfly interpretation. Reducing the size of your watermark is also a good action since it didn't draw my attention away from your actual work. By the way, I forgot to ask, how long does it usually take you to finish a project like this? I mean with the amount of details that you apply on your work, I assume it's a bit time-consuming. And, do you create colored artworks?

Hello to you Mayumi!

That makes three fans! Very appealing, and the rendering of her hair is great! Was there a model?

Hi John,

Sorry for the late reply, and thank you so much for your kind words. This piece didn't take much time to finished for the background is just solid black. It was about 10 hours. I prefer graphite but I tried watercolor pencils with some of my ACEOs. I colored my Four Elements series (they aren't in my gallery here) using GIMP and I really like it, though, it was really though to paint with a mouse.

If you are interested in viewing my Four Elements colored version.... click here, here, here, and here.

Thank you, Guenn, for your kind works! Yes, I used a reference photo. I just added the link to the particular photo I used. Click on the word 'photo' in my comment on the top of my post.

Thanks again! :D
