I hunt pheasants in areas that look a lot like this in late November. Old fences, trees without leaves, overcast skies and thick ush to provide cover for all kinds of wildlife. Feedback, good or bad, always welcome.
Rich,
What a great painting!
I like everything about it. I love the prospective and deep sense of depth you have created. The angle of the foreground fence sets this painting up so well. The balance for me is absolutely perfect.
You paint everything well but this is my favorite.
I have been struggling with a hunting type landscape for quite some time but just can’t seem to turn the corner and have become quite frustrated. I never quite, never but after viewing this, my batteries are recharged.
Great post!

Firstly, how in the world did u get Bob Ross to do u up like that-He does landscapes only man!!! I like this and Al is right-the fence does it good.I see a pheasant poppin' up right in front of me in this!! Great job Rich!
Oh wow-- I really like this one. The warm, full and rich tones are especially appealing contrasted with the use of light. The grass is excellant and how it fades into the shadow for the foreground. Nice!
this one turned out real nice rich ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i love everything about this . got some great distince in this ,,and wonderful color ...great work . have a nice day .mike
Another piece of stunning artwork!! Even though it is winter or early spring..whatever the time of year, it has such a softness, serene feel to it. I just love this!!!
