need suggestion

slowly working on this piece inspired from a photo of a statue in a graveyard.

should the drippings on the wings remain subtle?
should i do anymore work on the wings?
are the hands too dark?
is this thing done?

It definitely looks unfinished.

I think a clearer sense lighting may tip it over that unfinished / finished state.

As far as drippings, if its melthing; think of the textures as they would be in the real world melting. If burning or boiling - which thing can withstand more heat? Which would burn first? If feathers can stand more heat than skin, then they would have less meltage, and vice versa.

Nice job forshadowing the arms.

I agree with Jamie. If you pick a light sorce and follow what that tells you then use more contrast/ highlights, you'd be all set.

As Jamie and Julie said you definitely need to find your light source and work on shadow and highlight. I can hardly see the dripping of the wings, it blends in. Is it water or blood?

I tend to think that if you question whether a painting is done then it probably is!!!

I think it looks wonderful.

Plus if you change it you may wish you hadn't!
