"Coming to light" by krysta

Postby krysta11 » Sun Apr 12, 2009 8:48 pm

Hi everyone,
Using human body movements I wanted to show my emotions .
I wanted to show how I feel lately. Very mixed feelings.

After my first success in my first competition ever I felt like I am reborn again.

I feel like I am coming to the light from the darkness. It is hard to explain, but I hope my last painting will show what I mean.
Thank you for viewing and comments.

Looks to me that someone has climbed out of the darkness and has entered the light.

Fantastic painting as an abstract and technically.

Wow Lady Krysta you are on a roll!

God bless

Erika , thank you!!!
Why boy?

In first I wanted to paint myself but it would be to personal. To paint a boy it was David's idea.
He must be sick of my girls.

Barb I appreciate your comment very much. Thank you Barb for putting smile on my face.

I have to stop painting for awhile. A lot of preparations for the festival in Jindabyne and Cooma. I 'll be there from 17-19 April.

Well done Krysta!!! I agree with previous posts...one of your best and this person looks like hes seeing the light at the end of the tunnel finally. Although the face shows some tension as if to say.....I'm not quite there yet.

What a great interpretation Linda!

Good Morning!

Postby Michael Ortega » Thu Apr 23, 2009 6:49 am

Nice work. I like the
ushwork, it's varied and compliments the textures. The hair appears to be especially well done.
The pose is interesting and almost humorous. Even tho the model appears serious, I can't help feeling they are skateboarding in a tube somewhere at redondo beach.
I respect your output...keep on painting, you're doing good!
What I lack in talent I more than make up for with enthusiasm!

If you had not said that it was about going from darkness to light I would have thought the opposite. To me it seems the fihure is being sucked into the darkness. One big reason for this is the position of arms in legs, seems to be thrashing around.

Hi knapp,

I am so glad to see your comment here. Thank you so much.
It means a lot to me when I read different interpretations on my painting. I like yours too.
I wish to see you more often here knapp. Do not hide in the bushes, please.

Hi Nigiel,

With krysta you must be more specific . I must be to simple person to understand what you mean "Black Dog" and my painting.

I want you to be strong and can't wait for your finished paintings you already started. I am sure you are not wasting your time Nig staying in bed.

Did you watch the video with me ? It is only few minutes one. Short parts of K'OZZIE Fest
all the best Nig.
Thank you for your comment.
