ASC Weekly #1 - 2009 Revived Drawing Group

Postby Harmonygirl » Sun Jan 04, 2009 4:44 pm

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Hope everyones holiday was good. Lots of food and family and good times.

Okay, time to buckle down and get some drawing done......

I have had some great ideas given to me for this drawing group.

Take any image you want....it can be very simple or as complex as you wish.
split it into 4 pieces and use four different styles. For example, use crosshatching, cartoon, posterize it, realism, abstract.....
The hope is to try something out of the norm for yourself.... maybe you might find another style you like.
Any medium, full colour or black and white the options are open.

Really looking forward to seeing this. I am going to find an image now and start.

See you soon

Thanks! The top left corner I did as a contor, the bottom left was supposed to be crosshatching, but I always get frustrated with that. The bottom right was ink lines, and the top right I did in the negative colors. I thought it turned out cool, but I'd love to see what you could do with this topic
