Defense line GR99-X

Postby Riaan Marais » Fri Dec 12, 2008 12:39 am

Here I tried to create the impression of a huge defense vehicle for the modern wars.
Hope you like it. Please give me some feedback on how to improve this image!!! I am not scared of critique.

Medium: Blender 3D, computer

Keep well.

Your defense vehicle is so well done IMO, it doesn't need improvement. Wow! What an imagination!
all the best

Hi Riaan,
I like your imaginitve piece!
I maybe could suggest a bit of shadow from the object(sorry, don't know what it is called)in the forground, this will "anchor" the "feet" of the weapon a bit more, I think. As to me they appear a bit floating.
Love your work Riaan.

What was used to create the picture?

Postby Michaelblade » Fri Dec 12, 2008 12:50 pm

Greetings. I was mostly wondering if this is a drawing/painting or generated through digital enhancement.(computer)
The image is, in my opinion unique, because of the simplicity of the subject itself. Most weaponry of this nature has an abundance of surface detail and more than one gun showing.I'm not saying to make drastic changes. I'm giving my personal critique. The look reminds me of a video game. With high quality artwork.
Thank you for sharing, Michaelblade

Hi B

Now that you mention it, I see how my stuff is floating around. I will change the lighting so that the shadows are visible!!!

Thank you for your message.

I used a 3D programme to generate this image.

I did give it a little thought during the production stages, but decided not to add more weapons. You convinced me to add more. I will rework the image a bit to make it more interesting. Thank you for your input.
