Hey Lorenzo, what meaning does the quilt have in the painting? It is very specific and real.

Thats my mother in the painting. All our lives, she fed us with things she made, quilts, beadwork, cradle boards, camp dresses, etc. The cutouts are extras that my sister has kept. My mother has Alzheimers and doesnt do things she dearly loved. This painting is a honor to her.

This is a very beautiful piece as was the one with the grand canyon. I know very little about the world of art but I do know beauty.

DLKeur,
Thank you. I painted this with TLC. Her name is Pauline, and she was my mother, passed on in April at 94.

Painting

Lorenzo, a beautiful painting with so much more symbolism, reminds me of my grandmother who had a major impact on my life.

Why don't you put her in the Showdown portrait contest as a tribute to her
and your wonderful painting!? Ehoeveler
