first critique

This is a forum where you can post your art work and ask what the world thinks. I am looking for general feedback, nothing too technical. A push in the right direction would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, this is my first post for a critique and wanted to see what the climate was like. Thanks, Kime

The colors used initial presented a sad, depressed mellow feeling for the subject. I am interested if it is 2 figurative subjects or rather one in movement. Whether one or two subjects, the idea of movement is compelling. I wonder if this person(s) is sad, thinking, or otherwise calm with considering an older age of life. I like to think if the subject is older, and therefore wiser, should i look at this as not 'sad' but rather remembering the life thus far experienced and what one has overcome and seen.
I feel through your technique, the dimesions are very nicely crafted. The nose seem most detailed, then the lips, followed by the eyes. i enjoy it as it presents an emotional state as well as a sense of time.
