Ballet love II. In his hands

Postby Gosia » Tue Jul 08, 2014 4:33 am

I am starting new ballet drawing basing on this beautiful photo. I want to make it my own with colorful shading of their bodies, but first I have to work on all these details - it's so challenging... :-)

Really nice start with them! I'd make her hands and feet a little bigger. Thank You, E

Great start... watch the distances between one body element and the next... Specifically the curve/rise of the ballarina's shoulder and the crest of the breast bone/chest. in the photo, this distance is very minimal in comparison to where your base lines are...
May your world be painted in the Brightest of colors!

Thank you for you comments and advice. I introduced these changes and some more small changes and now it is prepared for adding colors: blue, violet, rouge, red etc...

Some progress... But... I made mistakes with her hair, I was trying to correct it and it turned out to be so strange and crazy hair... Well, she has to stay like this :-)
I have to finish background and work a little bit more on shading and details :-)

This is so pretty - very nice! Wondering a little about those gray hands and blue fingernails. Thank You, E

Thank you! :-) I am also not sure about this hand, but I think that I will leave it as it is. I wanted to make his body and figure with blue/grey/violet shading and her body with red/rouge shading...
