Failed Chuck Close attempt

Postby HappyFac3 » Wed Oct 09, 2013 2:04 am

Hello everyone, I recently tried to do a Chuck Close style painting...it doesn't really look like his style though. So I decided to kind of paint with my own style rather than trying to copy his so much. The painting is done with acrylic and I hope to finish it by the end of October. Here are some pictures of progress I have recently made.

This might be a fabulous 2013 update/homage to Close's work, which I love.
Already starting to look very interesting. Looking forward to seeing the finished.
Thank You, E

You are certainly dedicated, and there are lots of effects that come through due to the endless labor and variations you're painting. Sure doesn't seem at all 'failed' to me! Do we really need another Chuck Close painting? You could say it's "Not Real Close" and be very happy with that. He has no copyright on squares or pixels, afterall.
