White flowers in Watercolor

Postby jnbrownlee » Sat Mar 23, 2013 11:52 pm

Hi, I have been struggling with white flowers for awhile. I would like your ideas and comments about these orchids, and about anything else that might help this painting. Also, I am trying to pay attention to the shadows in this. Do you think they are working? Thanks!

Once again, sorry about the little photo. This should be better. ;)

Nice subtle shadings. The teapot, however, looks a little flat to me. Yet, the work is still in WIP.

Best of luck with this work.

Don't worry and keep painting!

I think it's coming along nicely! I would consider adding some blue tones to your shadows, as I think that would give you more contrast in the shaded areas, which would give more depth to the painting. Great work!
