Good morning, Kristian! It is 7:50 here - what time is it there and how cold?
Lol, you'd think I was re-creating the Sistine chapel with the amount of time
I'm taking with this beauty! Progress is minimal so I'll draw an arrow towards the
changes done. Essentially the pants, the hair and the plants - I still want to
enlarge her hands as you suggested , put more detail to the Iguana and just
generally clean it up. I am also working on a painting for my husband - our wedding
anniversary is in 4 days so I have to put the 'pedal to the metal' - I'll post it as well,
when finished. Have a great day! :D E

Hi, Ksart-se!! Where have you been?
I sort of got side tracked - hip surgery, pain meds and a new style of painting
as a result. (See WIP for my latest).
I'll go back to the 'Wild and Woolly' in a week or so, lol.
OK, now I'm going to see YOUR latest! E.
Oh, Ok; You're just commenting for now - that's cool.
Waiting to see what you've been doing, however.

Elizabeth I was pleased to view the progress of this 8x10 painting.

Working small is more time consuming than working large canvas. Plus you have to use small brushes and apply a lot of attention to little details. I work small all the time and feel your pain.

As far as the right hand. The thumb should be in the front, and the little finger closer to his butt. Stand, hold your hands in the same position, you will see what I mean.

This painting is coming along fine and can't wait to see it finished.

If you don't mind me throwing my 2 cents in, maybe you can add more light for depth and definition especially on the leaves. Sometimes I use the one stroke method of loading paint on my brush for the tiny leaves.

Karen, thanks so much for your learned input - I will
follow all advice - and one stroke for tiny leaves? - good one!
What have you got on the burner? E.

Elizabeth, this painting is fantastically complicated. You went to art school, and who am I a self taught person advising you on how to paint. I feel foolish and ashamed.

I started a wilderness painting and will post it in WIP. I need some input as to the foreground.

Can't wait for an updated pic of this great piece.
