Barefoot Dancer

Postby CarlOwen » Sat Oct 14, 2017 4:53 pm

I am presenting this as a string of pictures like I did with Sisters in Spirit. I have quite a few first time experiences in this painting. I have never done a portrait this small before. I have never worked in this color hue or tone before. I have never painted such a flowing dress before. I have never painted see through fabric before. And, I have never painted a full figure with such precision before. After I post this I am going to take a break and let the old brain cells heal a bit. I hope you enjoy and take what lesson information you choose from this painting and process.

Terrific, Carl. How does your wife feel about all of these sexy women you've been painting, lately?

Good morning guys. Thanks for stopping by to give a comment. Kristain, thank you for your advise. I will look at that. Joseph, when I read you comment to my wife, she chuckled and said, "I am a liberated" woman. We have been married for 46 years now. I don't think she feels threatened.

Thank you Elizabeth. Actually this painting fell in place fast. It just seemed to want to be done as fast as she was twirling. It had to also be accurate and elegant.
