Wip - Still life with cherries and a neckless

Postby Dean Petrovski » Mon Feb 27, 2017 3:32 am

Hey everyone, so here is my next WIP.
I am interested what you think about it, maybe composition wise, i know its a simple composition but its a small canvas after all...
What do you think of the background, should i maybe do something to it? add some more interest?
Regards,
Dean.

Thanks Carl, yeah i know hence me still playing with it. I do not think i am used to working on small formats but its still nice for me and its good practice.

Anyway here is what i did with it today, still thinking about doing the wall more interesting, note: the wood board will need some glazing and more details after drying.
Leaf does not look convincing to me also...

Good evening Dean. The leaf is nice as a basic form with basic muted light. If you treat it like you did the cherries with lights and darks juxtaposed and playing with each other in order to further define the leave I think you will be pleased. Hope this triggers some imagery in your mind's eye.
