DeathBall

Postby johnwalkeasy » Mon Mar 21, 2016 5:21 pm

Hello, John here.

I,m been working on a piece I've named DeathBall. I started on this work a month or so ago. Did'nt take but a
few pictures at the the start. Had no intentions of posting the progress at that time. But about 3 or 4 weeks in.
I figured I would.
Now in this progress posting. I won't be posting a lot of text. Mosly photos. And these photos will not always be in order.
But Will try to show them in order.
This work is being done with steel strips, steel nails and welded with silicon bronze welding rods.
This is a technic I invented in 1983. And other than my son. I'm the only artist to do metal artwork in this matter.
But ofcourse, over the years. I'm sure there are others who have taken up this way to work. Most I am sure will have
more market sucess than myself. And that will be best thing I could leave behind.

I went ahead and made the stand. Signed it on the bottom. It is made out of 11ga. sheetmetal. And welded. Also I
place steel pieces in side. To give the stand weight. This work will be around 26" to34"tall. And should weight around
50lbs.
