moving to oil paints

Hello, for most of my life I have sketched until one day I decided to embark on a transition and move to Acrylics. Now although I don't have any acrylic work displayed I am confident enough to say I am yet again happy to move on to something new. That something is oils and I'm looking for advice from experienced oil painters to help me in my quest for best oil paints for figurative paintings, brushes which compliment the delicate curves of the skin, and the best mediums to use? All comments welcomed and thank you very much, Ian.

You really need to experiment with different oil paints because they all act differently depending on what you are going for. Same for mediums. Do you want fast drying, slow drying, shiny, thin, etc. First figure out what you want to accomplish with your paintings. Then go from there.
