Sneaky Peak into a few of my pieces

Just a few pieces I've been working on... What do you think?

This is three different images of me integrated over a background I created out of dripping various colours of paint onto the canvas. I think it gives insight into my colourful and multifaceted personality. What does it say to you?

In this picture I am using the dripping paint in a different way, in order to create a suggestion of hair. I think it is a really interesting image - your thoughts?

This is a more conventional self portrait in my usual brushy painting style.

Your portraits are great! I would make the images a bit smaller so it can be viewed in one go instead of scrolling the image.
Well, why are we here if not to create?

If you have a photo editing software, then you have a means. Most software allow you to set the size of your pictures. It would be called image size or resize, most of the time found under image or edit in the menu bar. Most pictures display very well at pixels dimension not wider than 900px.

Let me know if you struggle. There is an open source photo editing software called The GIMP. Its free and relatively easy to use.

Hi, Brumblebee! Your portraits are excellent. You used colors very well. However, I have to agree with Riaan Marais regarding the size. Might as well reduce it as the current size of your images somehow reduces the quality of your work.

Nummber Three!

Postby Guenn Eona Nimue » Wed Apr 27, 2011 10:03 pm

Hi Brumblebee!

I like the style and colors in the third one, very expressive. I have no problem with the size, I just reduce my screen size to 50% of normal to see the whole image. It seems like it is taking me forever to learn how to resize images to fit the screen, and I still am not quite sure what I am doing!

Take care! Guenn

Hi there Brumblebee,
I voted for the third, as I think it reflects a colorful, playful personality. Well done!

I really like number 3 as well, the dripping colors and fine line give it very unique look unlike anything I have seen. The style reminds me a little of Pop artist Andy Warhol. Well done . I was able to view it all at once by using a little ctrl scroll mouse trick
